# waitline > waitline turns Claude Code's idle spinner — the "wait line" — into one tasteful sponsored line, and pays developers 50% of every impression they render. It is free, opt-in, and revenue-shared 50/50. waitline is an advertising marketplace for developer tools. Instead of banners or popups, a single sponsored line appears in space that is otherwise a bare loading spinner. Developers opt in, keep 50% of revenue, and withdraw earnings via Stripe (paid direct to their bank) or — where Stripe isn't available — redeem them as a month of Claude Pro. Advertisers prepay campaigns that serve by bid priority; only real, suspend-clamped view-time is billed, and clicks are tracked but not billed (view-priced). ## How it works - Install the plugin; `/waitline:setup` writes the status line with explicit consent and a verbatim backup. - Prepaid advertiser campaigns serve by bid priority in the wait line. - Every billed impression credits the developer's ledger; the developer's 50% share is withdrawn via Stripe to their bank (or redeemed as Claude Pro) once the minimum is reached. Every withdrawal is fraud-reviewed. ## Key facts - Revenue share: developers keep 50% of every billed impression (flat, no tiers). - Pricing: view-priced — only real attention bills; clicks tracked, not billed. - Payouts: Stripe Express direct to your bank ($10 minimum), or — where Stripe isn't available — redeem your balance as a month of Claude Pro ($20 units). Every withdrawal is manually fraud-reviewed. - Privacy: one line of text, no popups, no tracking pixels, no redirects; opt-in and reversible. ## Pages - [Home](https://getwaitline.com/): product overview and the stock-vs-waitline comparison. - [Blog](https://getwaitline.com/blog): explainers on how waitline works, earnings, and ad quality. - [What is waitline?](https://getwaitline.com/blog/what-is-waitline/): end-to-end explainer. - [How much can developers earn?](https://getwaitline.com/blog/how-much-can-you-earn/): revenue share and payouts. - [Getting paid](https://getwaitline.com/blog/getting-paid/): how payouts work — Stripe to your bank, or a month of Claude. - [Privacy Policy](https://getwaitline.com/privacy-policy/): what data is collected and how it's used. - [Terms of Service](https://getwaitline.com/terms-of-service/): the rules for developers and advertisers. ## Audience - Developers using Claude Code who want passive revenue from time spent waiting. - Developer-tool advertisers who want a high-intent, low-noise surface. ## Optional - [Full content](https://getwaitline.com/llms-full.txt): every published article inline, for reading and citing the whole site in one fetch.
